Overnight Gingerbread Oats

This time of year can be busy and stressful. Overnight Oats are a great option for busy people who are health and nutrition conscious. This easy recipe takes less than 5 minutes to make and packs a nutritional health punch during the Christmas season with 14 grams of protein and 15 grams of fiber! This recipe is gluten free, dairy, free, and vegan!
Ingredients
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
2 Tbsp chia seeds
1 cup almond milk. For more protein, swap the almond milk for cow's milk or a vanilla protein drink*
1/2 tsp maple syrup (optional)
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a mason jar or similar container. Stir until thoroughly combined. Cover and refrigerate overnight (at least 8 hours). When ready to eat, top with your favorite fruit or yogurt (optional).
