Jimi Byrnes, LPC, CPCS

Jimi is a skilled and compassionate Catholic-Christian counselor with over 20 years of experience working in the fields of mental health and addiction. She has worked in a variety of settings including group homes, domestic violence shelters, crisis units, detox facilities, community mental health, and private practice.
​
Jimi received her MA in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN and became a licensed counselor (LPC) in 2015. She became a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in 2019. In 2021, she became a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and studied under Dr. Leslie Korn to receive her advanced certification in Integrative Health. In 2023, Jimi and her husband became Certified FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding, and Study) facilitators in order to better help engaged and married couples live out God's plan for marriage.

Jimi uses a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental approach combined with evidenced-based techniques such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her years of experience, and her advanced certifications create a comprehensive and individualized counseling experience for her clients.

Her passions are her Catholic faith, her family, her pets, counseling others to help them reach their goals, traveling, cooking, and supervising future professional counselors.

Dianne is a dedicated mental health professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families through therapeutic and educational services. Her clinical approach is grounded in compassion, purpose, and a deep understanding of emotional and behavioral health across all ages.
​
As a Christian Counselor, Dianne provides spiritually based support that integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques with Biblical wisdom. Since 2018, she has been a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, offering specialized counseling for couples and those preparing for marriage. She is also in the process of obtaining licensure as a Professional Counselor, reflecting her commitment to ongoing growth and advanced practice.

Dianne holds a B.S. in Special Education and master’s degrees in Professional Counseling and Early Childhood Education. Her career spans diverse settings, including in-home support, school-based services, community mental health, telehealth, and structured therapeutic programs.

Through her education, volunteer service, and professional experience, Dianne remains dedicated to fostering healing, hope, and transformation—empowering individuals to thrive emotionally, spiritually, physically, and academically.
